Hey, Everyone,

Before I get into the production of "MinotaurStories", I wanted to say thanks to everyone.

When I first started this project, I knew it wouldn't be seen by many. It was my first visual novel, so most of my free time outside of classes was learning how to code and learning what I can do with that code. I was just getting back into learning art and was working on this project alone, so I was really anxious about if I should even bother doing it. Regardless of my self doubt, I still pushed.

Using what I learnt on my own and through many online threads, I entered a GameJam with a new one shot story. And I'm really glad I did because, I wouldn't have so many people following me and expressing enjoyment when reading my works. So, thank you very for reading and giving my work a chance.

On to the update.

I'm really glad more people tried it out and gave me feedback. While I am glad for the feedback, it felt like there could have been more. Trust me, I love that people like what I made and want to see more, but I personally felt the story was lacking in many departments. My friends aren't writers like I am and there isn't much help for me to get besides practicing, re-reading, and editing since I'm the only one working on this.

One review hit home with how I was feeling about the first chapter and it was the criticism I needed. I'll be rewriting chapter 1 and focus on the spots I felt was lacking, while keeping the elements that people did enjoy. I know despite the change, I will not appeal to everyone. I just want clarity in putting out a better chapter 1 I can be proud of.

Along with rewriting the first chapter, I will also be redrawing the sprites.

It's simple changes, but the old one felt like it had too much going on. I'm redrawing Edwin, and Maria and I'm drawing new characters that will make an appearance in the story.

There will be some changes in the story. Henry will still have his memory lost and is obvious to the world around him. Changes will come in the pacing, moments, and when Henry starts his journey. I'm working on them as best as I can, but the new chapter 1 and 2 won't come for a minute. Again, I'm working alone on this, and while I would love to have teammates for this, paying them for their work will drain me. Yes, I can make a pateron for support, but I don't think the project is in that state for that investment. I will make updates on characters and story on my bluesky page to keep everyone informed.

My plan is to draw the new sprites and characters, rewrite chapter one and write chapter 2. Please bare with me, since I'm still in college and I'm working to support myself.
